The Hull Truck Event was held on the 5th December 2009. We would like to extend a very big thank you to everyone who attended and donated. There was a DJ and between bands playing we had plenty of music, food and drinks, and of course the truck pull itself.

We are holding a truck pull to raise money to ship the Land Rover to the Victoria Climbie School in the Ivory Coast. There will be a team of people pulling a Trans-European Port Services lorry.

Victoria's parents established the Victoria Climbie Charitable Trust, to commemorate the life of their daughter, and to build a school in the Ivory coast in her memory.

Victoria was eight years old when she died at St. Mary's Hospital, London, in February 2000. She had endured appalling abuse at the hands of her great aunt, Marie Therese Kouao, and Kouao's boyfriend, Karl Manning.

This vehicle is 34 years old and had been sat in a field for the last 14 years. The elements had taken their toll but that didn't stop the determined volunteers. To refurb it and turn it into a school bus is certainly going to be extremely hard work and something to be very proud of.

The Warren Land Rover Project is a very simple idea with a few complications added to make it fun, interesting and add an air of mystery to it all! The idea; ‘take an old Land Rover, refurbish it and then ship it to the Ivory Coast to become a school bus for the Victoria Climbie School’. Simple!
