The primary school will be built in the town of Abobo in the Ivory Coast. The school will be called: Centre D’ Education Primaire Victoria Adjo Climbié. It will cater for between 180 and 360 children between the ages of 6 and 12.
Building work commenced in 2006 and a ceremony took place in the Ivory Coast when the first stone is laid.
The nearest school in Abobo is more than half a day’s drive away so many children in the area do not receive any education as a result although, there is a small private school nearby, many cannot afford the fees.
